Not saying whether he would or wouldn't be a good team fit. The new guy that we drafted sounds like the kind of character guy the Rams want - and I'd imagine that Bares' highlight reels have been seen by the Rams scouts and Snead.
But you raise a point that needs to be raised: I think we'd both like to see the Rams do our due diligence in scouting these off-brand leagues. No reason why a player who didn't get drafted and went to CFL or UFL (or, in the KW era, NFL Europe) and developed there couldn't be brought in.
I think Snead is less concerned about age than some other GMs. Bringing in an "older" 25-year-old for three or four peak years of good service and then letting him walk after the rookie contract, or if they pan out keeping on one-year deals, might make a ton of sense.
