I'm guilty of peeking at them after each pick and after the entire draft. Who got an 'A' who got a 'D' - what teams 'scored' and who 'blew it'. There is literally no data behind it. It's about as reliable as a magic 8 ball. A draft grade 3 years down the road - that's worthwhile. But in April?
I'm curious as to when this whole - grading a draft' became part of the coverage. It's there for entertainment value, but Mel Kiper and his ilk have been proven to be very wrong about many of their grades and predictions. Statistically, you're going to hit on a couple of pre-draft player grades and post draft team grades - but it's the old - 'even a broken clock is right twice a day' thing.
