And thanks DP, always appreciate it ... They took our WRs!!!! Pearsall and Legette BOTH!
Notes ... I had Latu Turner Verse as my edge order. I had Pennix 4th and McCarthy 5th, though I never saw him going to Atlanta. Everyone in round 1 was on this list (usually I get 1-2 that are surprises). Biggest reach for me was Worthy (#55) and Mims (45)... Best Value was Brian Thomas/Quinyon Mitchell (12 and 9). Detroit moving up for Arnold and Jax moving down and still getting Thomas were baller moves (Yes, I said baller).
We got ourselves a serious athlete who is motivated. We're set at edge for the first time in I have no idea how long. That changes a lot for the defense IMO. My targets for round 2 WR are off the board ... so now I'm on DT. Newton (14) is obvious and likely worth trading up for. If Dejean looks like he's falling or McKinstry, Im also in it. Fiske (52) and Jenkins (67) make sense in a weak class but I'd rather wait since we have an edge, as maybe the strength now is CB.
But if it's me I trade up for Newton if at all possible. I trust my ranking of 14.
