First, the Rams are going all in to try to get back to the Superbowl in '24 or '25 while they still have Stafford.
Second, when you are in win now mode, you don't use your highest pick for a position you don't need now, when you have positions that you do need to fill now if you can reasonably expect to go deep into the playoffs.
Third, the guys they do pencil in are outside the top tier of players at their picks, and in positions the Rams need help.

I know its just a mock (and they are all wrong no matter what), but the strategy is just not in tune with who the Rams are and what they are obviously trying to do. One of the biggest indicators of what the Rams are going to do is the resigning of Dotson and picking up Jackson, and (even more) the FA signing of 3 veteran Secondary starters, along with resigning Robinson (WR).
