Atwell is on the last year of his rookie contract, but we could re-sign him.
There is a lot of speculation about adding a deep threat and he already provides this. We don't use him enough but he shows good hands when targeted.
Many don't like him because they feel he was taken too high instead of the center. I actually agreed that I would've taken the other player myself, but it should not affect how we look at him now as a player.
He was hurt his first year. His second was Krupp's triple crown and we won the SB. His third was the emergence of Puka and KW. He has waited in the wings.
I know I will get kicked in the teeth, but I have supported this guy from day 1. Why? Well, he plays for the Rams. Also, has a lot of talent, trains hard and seems to be a likeable guy.
I can see him going elsewhere and truly emerging as a top WR. It may not happen in horns. I wish him the best.
