Injuries derailed an otherwise good career

Not sure why the derision of Allen. The poor guy dealt with serious injuries that he worked very hard to overcome. But, it reached the point that from a cost standpoint, and a value versus availability standpoint, he became a bad bet and so the Rams did what they had to do. That said, he was a good NFL Center.
