The Los Angeles Rams had an excellent special teams coach back then in Gil Haskell and Mark Jerue was one of the best special team players on the squad. Jerue did get a chance to start later on, but he did struggle staying healthy, but that group under Haskell was quite an amazing unit and for the most part under John Robinson the special team unit was actually special with Mark Jerue leading the way.

And agree, behind Sully and Vann he was probably the third best STer of those years .. and after Sully left prom moved up a notch. Ed Brady was good, several fine core ST guys in mid-1980s.
