While we OL honks finally got our wish of a beefy interior to wedge the knife into defenses, I guess I shouldn't be shocked that most draftniks are obsessed with finding a 3T to replace AD. Um, Kobie Turner is already on the roster so....
Am I the only one that is still traumatized by how teams like SF and BALT ran at will against the Rams even with AD on the field? If Dontari Poe was graduating from Alabama this year, he would be the guy I'd expect the Rams to target. Think Tony Siragusa or Bryant Young. I also want a thumper next to EJ (sorry, Rozeboom isn't the solution) that could limit the opponent's running games on the first two downs so the pass rush has a chance to improve because they get to more regularly defend more than three yards of line to gain.
Also, I'm not saying another edge rusher isn't needed, but they normally take longer to develop (JClowney) and this class doesn't seem to afford us any immediate solutions at 19.
It just drives me crazy that most mocks and posts I see are all about EDGE AND 3T types while McSnead clearly, and finally, seem to value interior line play as a priority.
Stepping off my soapbox now.
