IMO the Rams strategy has been well stated by Snead, McVay, and Jourdan.
Spend on the O. Scrimp on the D. That meant no giant dollars spent on D FAs. Doubt they even kicked the tires on Riddick. They picked up relative bargains.
Unexpected opportunity to resign Dotson AND to pick up Jackson, so they jumped on it.
They have bolstered their Secondary with proven good vets, and so have little money left for all but near vets minimum FAs.
They are going to go get their Edge and DT guys in the draft with high picks.
Probably will take a CB in the first 4 rounds.
Probably will take a WR/returner in the first 4 rounds.
More OL, DL, ILB, RB in later picks and very likely will use a draft pick on a Kicker.
