While we can focus on the mistakes our young DBs made (Kendricks in particular), I imagine the coaching staff is looking at it from the positive/talent side as well.
With White and Williams in the fold, the younger guys will have some very good guys to learn from, and have more time to develop.
We have to remember that these young DBs weren't taken in the higher rounds of the draft for a reason. It's not that they may not have the talent, it's that they simply weren't NFL ready or had some bad habits. But, if they have good work ethics and the Rams coaching has the patience, sometimes you can keep developing these guys into competent NFL players at a low cost.
