I thought all along the Rams would pick up 2 vets as their starting outside CBs. With the signing of White and Williams, the need to draft a CB high just diminished greatly.
They will now be focusing on Edge and DT. They might draft a CB but it won't be earlier than round 3, probably later.
Williams and White are now our starting outside CBs. There will be a battle for slot CB among the younger the guys. And, the younger guys will have some vet CB leadership to help them develop. Good all around.
They could still take a CB high, very high -- 1,2,3rd for future and perhaps think White is a one-year solution while THT and rookie develop ... Williams a 2-year deal.
This could just be to get Kendrick off the field ... and they think White can at least do that. But he has alters on him ... has not played a full schedule in 5 years, missed 33 games in that time,
He could be healthy this year, but they know it's a risk that he won't play -- coming of Achillis and before that pretty serious knee ---
He's a stop-gap, Rams need to still take a CB in first 4 picks (1,2,3 or 3)
