I mean that statement just doesn't cut it to me.....because FA isn't any where the end all in getting your roster either. Many FA choices turn out to be if not flops, they don't live up to the money spent. Both options can be considered risks to a point. Saying an Edge in the draft isn't a sure thing but a WR is, or a lineman is, or a QB is? etc......The team has gone with their spending mostly to the O this season, It looks like they did this on purpose with the plan to go for defense needs in the draft....Risk can go both ways, dollars saved definitely lean to the draftees. That very saved money has been issued towards the O.
