I was at a work conference just walking around in AC one evening about 30 years ago. Saw a crowd around someone doing an an interview and it happened to be Hacksaw. I stuck around and waited until he was finished and approached him telling him that I've been a Ram fan since 1961. We started talking about the 79 SB year and got to the point after a while where he was asking me who the 3rd string was that filled in at QB that year (Jeff Rutledge). I asked about the Seahawk game where they held them to -7 yards total, setting an NFL record. His eyes lit up. Hacksaw says on the first play of the game be blitzed Zorn and knocked him on his ass. As he's telling me about it, he takes the palm of his hand and pushes it hard into my chest. What an experience!
