I think that Snead/Sean and company are doing things by the book they have planned out. They took on DeMarcus after letting Allen go....even swap plus they had intentions of moving Avila to C to begin with. They then moved out to G knowing that Dotson was a key fixture. FA starts and they go G right off.....that tells me this was a planned move they were going this way before it started. Picked up a TE after that to polish off the O-Line. Re-tendered Jackson for security at OT.
Went back to Williams (coming off a solid year) to 1 either upgrade Kendricks OR work in tandem with Witherspoon...instant upgrade in the back end.
It looks like all these things were addressed over running out for a FA Edge because they have penciled that in for the draft....a move up for Turner.....betting on Latu falling with neck issues flying around, or going up for Verse.
They have the O-line set for 3 years....they look into the D in the draft so they have several main players under rookie contracts. This allows them to continue selecting spots on the O in future FA workings.
I am not saying I know these things as fact, but it's just what my eyes are telling me...How I see their work and their future plans.
