Name guys are assumed to be the best choices."Oh I've heard of him, I want him" I still say that our Edge is coming in the draft.....I don't see Mack and really don't want him.....He'll cost a bundle and a drafted edge will in his rookie contract be Soooo much cheaper+the years he's contracted for. If Mack would come across the locker room for a 1-2 year for 15 million....he wouldn't do that..he'll want a 50+ deal IMO.....It would just be a rental deal....I'd rather have that position longer term...it's too big of a position to rent.
This shouldn't be looked at like a SB or bust season, many may be falling into that because of last years 10-7 from 5-12 in 2022. I never saw the must of signing an Edge in FA. I have felt that they are just too costly. I am perfectly happy in getting the O-Line set in FA and going D in the Draft.....That allows the costs to kind of equal out over time, they've invested $'s into the O they can now invest in players on the D that will have rookie contracts that will enable them to continue dealing with the FA aspects with the O in the near future.
