Not sure if true but

I heard somewhere that the Panthers are souring on retaining Burns long term because of his salary demands and that yesterday's price, turning down two #1's for him is not today's price, I heard two #2's have been floated. Is the Burns option truly dead? Can trader Snead pull it off and can Demoff structure a contract that kicks in, in two years after some of the big money deals are off the books?
