You're assuming this trade happens during the draft and is contingent on who is available when the Rams pick.

It won't work like that. This would already be a done deal well in advance of the draft.

Carolina doesn't have a 1st round pick. They'll be happy to get #19. Burns will be happy to be leaving Carolina.

The Rams get the guy they've been after for years. A proven EDGE that is only going to be 26. They have the money for the long term contract. No worries there.
