Personally, I'd say the Trey Lance trade was the worst in NFL history, at least in terms of draft value traded away. They used 3 #1s on him, he hardly played at all and when he did, he was terrible. They gave up on in him almost immediately, giving him away for a day three pick. The reason it's not getting as much attention as it otherwise might is because the 49ers recovered from it quickly by lucking into Purdy.

The Wilson trade was bad, but not as bad as the Lance trade. What magnified the disaster in Denver was signing Wilson to a massive extension.
