Build and keep a very good OL not only to keep Stafford upright, but when the time comes for his replacement, you already have a OL in place to protect the new guy. Bradford got the crap beat out of him because they never had the OL fixed. Look at David Carr as another example. Saquan Barkley and Jones are another example, you can draft all the playmakers and QBs you want, but until that line is in place, they cant do much, Giants still haven't figured that out. Build the line and then add playmakers.
That said there are very good OL in day 2 as well.
