AJ did right well at LT when 1.) not playing hurt, and 2.) when not going against an elite rusher.
He's learning fast and is plenty physical. Has he developed enough, or will he progress enough in camp to be able to handle playoff-level edge guys this year? Can he train up to overcome the injury tendency? He's still young - and the body for some guys, especially big guys, doesn't fully harden off until the mid-twenties.
If AJ can answer the bell, do we really need anything beyond depth at LT? If he's not there yet, where do we go for another?
Avila: Leave him where he is.
Shelton: Stafford lobbied for him - and between guards who can play, he looks much better than in past years.
Dotson: Pay the man. Keep him. The run game goes through him and he's a living fortress in pass pro.
Havs: Steady as a rock, getting older, valuable. So why not draft a promising low round RT this year to develop?
Boom: Restructure and trade, or cut if no restructure is forthcoming.
Bruss: Doesn't cost much, hasn't contributed much. I'd cut him to create a roster spot, but hey - coach's decision.
The rest? McAllister, drafted as C, made the 53 as a guard last year. Is he our center-in-waiting? Much we don't know about how guys in the pipeline are developing and I really like what I'm seeing from the OLcoaching group.
