On the one hand, I see the value of trading a 1st, if necessary, to acquire a quality veteran cornerback. Or acquiring that quality starting cornerback via free agency. But either would be costly, although a proven commodity. One other advantage to grabbing the proven vet is that a hole would be filled which frees up Snead to take BPA at another position of need.

But on the other hand, as Alyo has pointed out, there are four really good cornerbacks, and one of them should be available for us at pick 19. The rookie, of course, would be far less expensive than signing that vet.

Like I said, I see advantages both ways.

Gotta trust Rams on this, I guess.
