I have heard it 12,767,989 times since I retired.........You can't retire!!! You're too young!!!! What are you gonna do??? I tell them.....Yes, I CAN retire!! What is not too young to retire?? 70...75?? When the knees are gone and health is total crap...IF I'm alive?? What am I gonna do?? Whatever the hell I want! In just the past 10 years, I have seen COUNTLESS guys on the Fire Dept drop dead. Several were younger than me. One guy was 32! I will say, I AM very fortunate to be in position to do so. But I busted my arse and lived well BELOW my means to get there.
