Over the years the murky pond has become a goldfish bowl, hasn't it?
As a society,we sit in front of thought-altering machines for endless hours where simply hitting
delete erases the residue of history, emotions, relationships, social structures, whole thought processes, threads of genius and, as originally intended, errors.
It rubs off. Whatever our reaction to it at whatever level of consciousness, in affects us. All of us.
On one end of the skewed spectrum we've created we expect immedtate results without a learning or growth curve, while on the other we're supposed to be toiearant of everything including that which was formerly intolerable. Accountability can get lost in the shuffle.
That said, the Hunt and Rooney families tend to choose head coaches carefully, hold them accountable while supporting them, and nurture them through their more difficult learning processes to facilitate their growth.
Other franchises we could name tend to play coaching positions like musical chairs, hoping that the right butt lands in the empty seat on the next spin of the wheel.
Fortunately for us as Rams fans, our owners and management team follow the "family" or long-term growth and stability model. The goldfish bowl is a fact of life, and the Rams are well adjusted to it if not comfortable with its existence.
