When the Whiners had the ball early in OT. I think it was KC's McDuffie was called for defensive holding on 3rd and long. The defender never grabbed the receiver. He basically bumped him. That happens all the time and is never called. I definitely felt like the Whiners got a gift horse

As a 49er hater, didn't like the call. Objectively though I thought the defender hooked the WR and impeded his progress. Thought it was the right call.

I agree that's what happened, but the refs normally let that go unless it's an actually grab or hold. It's kind of like offensive holding. It happens on almost every play but is not normally called unless it's flagrant
