I thought the Chiefs got reamed a little bit on two first down calls. The first one in the first quarter it looked pretty clear that Kelce got the first down. But he was marked short. That was weird because Andy Reid called the time out but never challenged the call so he lost the time out and he didn't get it overturned.
The second was a similar situation in overtime but it was even more clear that it should have been marked first down for the Chiefs and it wasn't. I thought that one was really annoying because I believe in overtime only the replay officials can call for a review and that should have been reviewed and overturned. If the Chiefs had had to punt on that possession instead of winning the game I think that would have been a very controversial call. I don't understand why they had so much trouble seeing first downs that were clearly achieved.
