He was always singularly outspoken - didn't mince words. And didn't hesitate to back them up.
There is one collection of Deacon clips out there where the narrator feels compelled to state that Deaconwasn't above sometimes playing dirty - gotta equivocate, gotta condemn, even if you don't tell the whole story or don't know what you're talking about to begin with. That's the way I took this narrator's comments.
Deacon didn't start it, at least from anything I ever saw, but he wasn't somebody you wanted to mess with. When he felt it was time to retaliate the results were usually overwhelming - and fun to watch.
