HOF players at most positions on the same team that won the 1951 NFL Championship. Changed the game with the greatest passing offense ever. Made it a sport for the new nationwide TV broadcasts.
2d place and maybe 1st place would be the team that landed in L.A. 1946. They were the initial team to play NFL football on the west coast. The 49ers were a minor league team in 46 and decided to join the NFL in the same year as the Rams move to L.A. from Cleveland. There were no NFL teams on the west coast in 46 except the Rams and the Niners. These teams woke up the rest of the NFL to the possibilities that notwithstanding air travel issue it was possible to have a true "National" Football League.
These were the two teams that "impacted" the NFL the most and were responsible for the Chargers,Raiders, Seattlev, allcoming into the NFL years later. But had in not been for Reeves dispute with the City of Cleveland in 46 the Niners might never have joined the NFL and would still be playing minor league football. at old Kezar stadium.
So there you have it. The Rams impacted the NFL and made it what it is today. Both in ease of travel and perfect for the budging television industry. Maybe not the "best"teams but certainly the most "impactful".
