he did a good job with Goff initially, but then things fell apart as Goff couldn't keep up with McVay's level of expectations.
He didn't develop Wolford or Perkins.
Where he's had his most succes is with a QB with 11 years prior experience.
So why not go down that road again?
We've seen a number of hot young QB's enter the league over the past few years, this year will be no different.
Likewise, there are a number of former number 1 picks sitting on the bench right now who might be reclamation projects.
I say avoid spending a #1 pick and potentially ending up with a Zach Wilson or Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen and go with a known commodity.
