Height isn't as important to me as arm length is. If you are 6'-1" with the arm length of a guy 6'-5", I have zero issues with that. Same can go the other way, if you are 6'-5" with short arms, I will have an issue. Overall, I like guys that are 6'-3" to 6'-5". 6'-2" I can live with.
Weight is more important as long as it is good weight. I like guys 240 and up, until about 260 to 265. After that, they are more 4-3 DEs to me.
In a 4-3, all 4 DL rush, but in a 3-4, usually 1 edge rushs and 1 drops (there are exceptions to this obviously), giving you 4 rushers like a 43 team. Advantage is you don't know which side that 4th rusher is coming from, in theory. So 43 DEs need to handle the run and rush the QB taking on OTs, unless they stunt or twist. Rarely do they drop into coverage. So you need a beefier DE. 34 Edge guys need enough weight to stand up to the run (unless they are designated pass rushers) enough athleticism and quickness to drop into coverage, and enough speed/strength to rush the QB.

Can't agree because I have no clue ... will have to take yours aylo's word. But if there is a long armed-6-4 guy around 250 with good hips to turn ... would love to have someone like that. A modern-day Mike Wilcher would suit me -- his skills but 6-3, 250ish
He could rush from the 3-4 and later--in late-80s he was the one LBer off the ball when they went to the 5 LBer 6 DB package in 1989.
underrated ... hoping that is who Byron Young can be, but maybe more consistent in pass rush.
