I thoroughly enjoyed the AFC Championship Game yesterday. It was a real gem, and I think a classic from the perspective of defensive football. Mahomes was brilliant, managing the game and avoiding turnovers the way good field generals will do.

He was masterful, displaying patience and acumen.

But the way Steve Spagnuolo took the game away from Lamar Jackson and made him play under "long ball" pressure was just remarkable. His game plan should be preserved as a historical document.

It was one of my favorite games in years.

He gets big in big games as a DC. Just ask the Pats.
