Re: Purdy is more accurate

Purdy and Montana comparisons?

Purdy seems like a great young man and I wish he was on the Rams as our backup, but...

The last 3 games vs. Balt, GB, and Det (better competition) ...

...Purdy has been rated about a '65' by PFF (basically a 'D')...

That rating has been bumped up considerably by his excellent scrambling / running in those games.

He has thrown the ball pretty wildly, even to wide open receivers on more than a few occasions in those 3 games. Luck has been on his side with a few batted balls and of course, the should have been intercepted throw off the Det DB's helmet that went for a 50 yard gain somehow.

If just that one "off the helmet throw" was intercepted we're talking about how great the Lions are now that they are in the Super Bowl.

We would also be talking about how Goff is a great QB, especially if his receivers hadn't dropped 5 passes, some in crucial / game altering times.

Purdy in the same sentence as Montana? ... what if Montana had QBed the last 4 niner games?
