Very good team has a nice, spirited opening drive that you quash and limit them to 3.
You get a nice drive back down the field, it stalls and you have a chance to put the 3 you lost back on the board. You have a chance to throw a wet blanket on the entire stadium. Instead your bravado leads you to go for it, you fail, and you put a ton of wind in the sails of the home team.
Sometimes conservative and playing it by the numbers works.
Was an unneeded risk and it turned the entire game around. Now one team is playing high as a kite, the other is playing like a scared prize fighter attempting to hold on and not get knocked out.
