That's how he talks... even when it's NOT cold... in kind of a halting, but rambling style. I've been watching HBO's Hard Knocks: Miami Dolphins In-season and McDaniel comes across to me as an odd duck. He tries way too hard to be hip and relate to his players on their level when he talks to them but it's not him. He sounds not genuine. I can't help but think of him as square peg in a round hole as a head coach. Not sure what his players think of him but watching the show.... most of the time they just seem to either ignore him or tolerate him. You hardly ever see anyone talk to him. Time will tell how he pans out.
