The things I see about the three HOFers:

AD was a stud and impacted the game in every way imaginable.

BWagz was past him prime and did not impact the game like he did earlier in his career.

Ramsey was still playing at a high level but the other 3 or 4 (when in nickel) or 5 (when in dime) DBs weren't particularly good in coverage. If the Rams pressed last year Ramsey most likely could have neutralized his guy but anyone else out on a pattern would pretty much have had a field day. I don't know for sure that the Rams would have lost more than 12 games last year if they tried to use more press coverage, but I will go to my grave believing that.
