Were Kings fans excited about Rob Blake playing against them when he was with the AVS? It's playoffs - they can root for him after. I like to see Goff do well when he's not playing us, wouldn't wear a Goff jersey to a Lions game against us either.
People just need something to be outraged about - a 'fan ban' - is an idea, not a law. If you want to wear a Stafford jersey wear it.
