Penix has looked very sharp agree…. he’s a lefty which is interesting. Somebody is going to get a good one

Yeah I like him too. Mentioned on another board how much he reminds me of Stabler. Another calm and cool lefty who settles everyone around him down and you know he's gonna do something good. And he does. Very similar in some ways but the injuries are a real risk with him. How long will you have him.

I think Ewers needs a little more time but I don't think sticking around in Sark's offense is wise. Did you see that image they showed in the game of the press day and Ewers' table had no press there just him by himself. And he's looking over at Manning's table and so many press you couldn't see Manning. Probably taken at a bad moment, but I think it demonstrates that his decision to return to Texas isn't too smart. Plus I never have liked Sark so it's not like I'd value Ewers getting another year of his tutelage.

McCarthy could end up being good but I think he's got a ways to go. For starters he's been propped up in an offense with a stud run game and a top defense on the other side of the ball, which is always gonna give me concerns. I do like his penchant for making crazy throws by the sideline but basically I don't know that he even has Goff's ceiling. Seems kind of timid to me. Not my QB type.

These were exceptional games though. Very enjoyable given the garbage we've sorted through prior this bowl season.
