Man...dude is just throwing BB's tonight.
Of the four QB's playing in the semis today, MPJ is CLEARLY the best of the lot as he's showing: accuracy to all levels of the field (especially deep); arm strength to complete passes to the wide side of the field; and, different arm angles to get passes off. Very difficult for me to get over his injury history, though. I think he's a top-10 QB, for sure. But man, I don't think that I'd draft him that high unless my team had an elite pass-blocking OL. But as I continue to watch him tonight, he also seems to have a fairly quick release too.
JJ McCarthy is a distant 2nd as he primarily only displayed accuracy with passes between 7 and 12 yards. After watching him in Michigan's last few games this season, I don't recall him taking many (if any) intermediate or deep shots at all. Not sure why that'd be the case as Michigan's strong rushing attack should set up a ton of play-action. Looks like he needs another year in school to demonstrate he can do more than just hand the ball off to the RB and watch his defense dominate.
Ewers? Well, as much as I like Penix,Jr. and UW, I thought that Texas would beat them as UW's defense isn't very good. Now that might still come to pass, but as of right now Ewers has shown me NOTHING. Maybe just a bad game?
