Scary thought for SF too I'd think, given that we as a division rival have a certain advantage in taking them on in the playoffs.
Shanahan's run-centric approach is strongly supported by that defense. If the Rams go to SF and move that ball up and down the field on them it changes the equation on Purdy. Puts a lot of pressure on him. Obviously SF is the better team but if this OL can enable long drives by giving Stafford time and we get the good Stafford this team can take anyone out. Anyone.
We were all pretty happy to have Cam back healthy this year, until he went diva on us. Nobody saw the backup becoming the star. So glad we have a guy who's happy to be here. And I can remember so many times over the years we just could not get short yardage to save our lives. Kyren is automatic.
And that also goes over to the line. I think we all knew a bunch of guys who had never played together before would need to mesh. Adding Dotson and time have made this unit formidable. And that's a word that has not been used in conjunction with this line in a very long time. Can they get better? Maybe. And that puts a smile on my face.
Things change in the playoffs. This team already knows they can play with anyone. I keep seeing other playoff teams getting blown out- but not the Rams. We've played tough all year, and now we look stronger and more seasoned. All coming down at the right time.
