When we saw Turner and AD skipping off the field like schoolboys, arm-in-arm, behind that we saw volumes. The Master and the Apprentice were celebrating more than just a good play on the field.
I remember the hype about Kobie being the next AD and thought, "Yeah - sure... it's more than body type."
I remember what each player said, pre-season and early season. AD wanted players alongside him who worked hard. Kobie said he was dedicating himself and plunged into that and learned from the best player-mentor he could have.
His quick acceleration from raw rookie to playing like a seasoned pro - and a very effective one - has been a team effort: the Conductor, AD, and Coach Hendy.
