That 49ers win could be a blessing in disguise. Maybe they clinch the #1 seed after week 17 and maybe they rest a bunch of guys in week 18.

The Rams have a good shot of clinching a spot by then, but if a Rams win against the 49ers moves them up a spot and they get Detroit in round 1 instead of Philly I wouldn't mind the Rams going up against a 49ers team that has nothing to play for.
