First thing you stated yourself. Garrett wasn’t himself due to injury. Not even close, despite his refusal to use that as an excuse. Having said that, I watched Jackson closely and thought he did have a helluva game. Not a stretch to say he seems to be continuing to evolve. So, perhaps LOT is not Rams biggest need right now.
Second thing is it all depends on who’s sitting there at our pick. If it’s a LOT then so be it. Same with any other position. An elite player that falls at ANY position would be most welcome.
My position continues to be that a future franchise QB to eventually replace Stafford would be doable, possibly with a trade up. Snead has been there before and done so quite effectively to get that QB that Rams really like. Yep, it’s risky, but the rewards are off the charts if Snead nails it (again).
All we can do now is stay tuned and see how all this unfolds.
