Miller simply has not helped the Bills largely because he can't stay healthy. As they say: the best ability is availability. And, the amount of guaranteed money they paid him has become a total waste. On the other hand, without Miller the Rams probably don't win the Superbowl, so the draft picks they surrendered to get him were definitely worth it. Winner.....Rams.
As for the DV: who knows? Anyone here have any direct info about what happened? Accusations are made, and charges pressed, all the time and only some ever result in guilty verdicts. I was on a jury about an assault charge against a fellow for allegedly assaulting a girl of 18. The girl had never wanted to press charges. But, a police report had been made. Only a couple of 1st year female prosecutors in their 1st year out of law school wanted to go forward.
The verdict was unanimous on a jury with 2 women, both with teenage daughters: not guilty. The guy did all he could to AVOID doing anything to the girl, and she caused the entire mess because she was so drunk and disorderly that she was literally destroying the interior of his car. She refused to get out, and so he grabbed her by the arm and pulled her out. Her entire assault was a barely scraped knee when she fell from being staggering drunk, that was not even enough for a band-aid.
I don't know the circumstances or what happened with Von Miller. He may be guilty as hell, or it may be something blown way out of proportion. That's what a trial is for. Then we can decide if he's that kind of a guy or not.
