Dallas has the number 1 seed and Romo and Witten go to Cabo during the off week.. They come back and are eliminated by the Giants.. That's Romo's legacy, as far as I'm concerned..
It just seems like in Romo's first playoff game, against Seattle, where he dropped the field goal attempt ball (he was the holder, as you know) he was then snake-bit in playoff and other important games from then on..
..and yes I was in Dallas, against the Rams, when the ball was hiked over his head, he runs back to get it, kicks the ball another 25 yards in the wrong direction, picks it up, two Rams about to nail him for the biggest sack in NFL history, they knock each other out of the play, Romo scrambles for 3 minutes and then throws for the first down.. He should have been nailed for a 45 yard sack.. What's my point in telling this story? I dunno, I just needed to vent 15 years later...
