Teams are not going to trust him with a big paycheck even if he plays well. His goal here with us is to rebuild his name as a QB2 and show he can function in that role and then this offseason try to acquire the job for it. If by some miracle he has to play a lot of the remaining games and he excels then he will go the route of Baker Mayfield, that being another team paying him but it won't be the Rams.
Agree, this could be a great opportunity for Wentz to prolong his career as a higher end back up QB if he impresses McVay in practices and a great opportunity for the Rams to actually have a quality back up for the next several years....I just don't see any real opportunity for Wentz to become a starter again unless Stafford goes down and Wentz lights it up in games he plays in.
