I had proposed trading a 4th round pick for Young to get him in our building and kick the tires. Then, if he'd showed enough, try to sign him to a one-year prove it deal for 2024.
Though they gave up a 3rd instead, the Whiners might try the same thing. At Young's age, I could see him accepting such an offer to pad his stats next to Bosa and Kinlaw. IF he can stay healthy, he could be in line for a big payday come 2025.
Unless he gets hurt again, Young won't be signing a 1-year prove it deal after this season.
He will get a big contract from someone in 2024...Maybe the Rams? It won't be with SF. They can't afford him. This is just a rental for them.
