Can't help posting this....

In grammar school we played flag football... no tackle in those days. BUT.... we wore helmets. Leather ones... left over from... geez, I dunno... the 20's? 30's?

I remember moving on to High School and getting a non-leather helmet... oh man, I thought I had made the big time. Had one bar for the face guard. Well, mine did... the good players had two bar face guards. Not a person on the team knew how to insert the knee pads, thigh pads, hip pads, into the pants.... some inserted them upside down, some even put the thigh pads into the hip pad pockets. Doyle, (real person), put his cup in upside down and hurt himself. - JamesJM
