Thx BunRap.
A lot of fair points and I agree with much of that.
A novel insight would be how connected to reality and personal accountability is McVay? His play-calling is a HUGE part of the problem and he is not evolving fast enough nor willing to make a change.
Obviously, you can't take much of what he says in press conferences seriously as that is just BS coach-speak but here and there he reveals some troubling insights about his psychology and mindset. I do not given a complete pass based on his age given that he is not not new HC and was raised and groomed to do this all his life by some of the best and with every advantage at his finger tips. He has TONS of support and resources and is in a great position. No excuses.
Much of what you shared is accurate like how McVay needs to find an identity for the offence. Perhaps he should adopt a different mindset in certain respects plus this team could always use more mental toughness and a more aggressive and physical attitude. Tactically, the offense is not fooling a lot of DCs and that reflects even worse on McVay given more than enough talent on offense and now pretty good health too. The coach has to fix himself first of else he holds everyone else back.

Great post
There is a formula for winning with a young team when you have leadership and talent in key areas.
Now the simplest model is the team that beat us and also teams that have beaten and nearly beat us.
You protect your young talent and your QB and play complimentary football in 3 phases.
Special teams is the easiest to bolster if you honestly commit to having a great ST.
Next our defense deserved to add a proven pass rusher on the edge to complement AD how else can you help young DBs
Our offense needs an identity. You start with physical play as a foundation and strategically activate the great talent that has emerged to be weapons of fantastic proportions around our more physical style ala San Francisco but if that does not fit our current teams stats then we dial back to Cleveland and Pittsburgh approach.
You have to be honest with AD and Stafford and Kupp on what this next 2 years will look like and if anyone wants to move on we find a way to move them for the best value possible and build this team right.
They are asking for fan patience's when they have only been half honest with fans
McVay saying he is more optimistic today does not align with what they have been selling in as much as they are not putting the team in the best situation to win and our product is half baker as well so the current results are what we can expect until we embrace a needed identity change.
