Agreed. Part of being such a young team is learning how hard it is to put a good game together for 4 quarters. The Rams have not had a complete game all year. Of course they also have not had a completely bad game all year either. They have been in everything.
I give Maher a bit of slack because both FG were 53 and 51 yards. Ok not to hit both- but hit one. That 2nd one I think (at 20-10) likely seals it.
Plenty of mistakes elsewhere. And not just the young guys. The Stafford INT was all on him.
Good effort in the run game today. Hoecht showed up. Nacua with what was probably his best game yet.
Objectively this was probably the 15th or so best team in the league losing to the 20th. Something like that. So while it stings and is definitely a missed opportunity, there is that context. Buffalo losing to NE is far worse.
Anyway, I have said before that as a season goes along points differential is usually a telling stat about where a team is. Through 7 games the Rams are +14 or 13th in the league. They will take more losses but I think continue to play very tight games. Including at Dallas.
