I think the ideal scenario is Jackson playing well this year and then picking up his RFA tender for 2024. He is still an ascending player and fits their new OL scheme well.
Would allow them to use premium draft picks (1st and 2nd rounds) elsewhere. That all said, you cant dismiss the idea of drafting a LT high next April. If the value is there you do it.
Good LT cost premium picks. Leave Jackson where he is and draft a better Center in the 3rd or 4th. Use the Premium picks on Edge and Corner.
An elite LOT at the second most important position on O?
If such a player fell to Rams they would at least have to strongly consider it.
Same thing at QB, Edge, and CB.
Those 4 positions are the most impactful in football. There is no ‘wrong answer’ with taking any elite type player at any of those positions. Rams should be so lucky.
