If he leaves at the end of the year and signs a 3 mil contract we get a 6th I think. So we were going to move him because he was not oging to be happy and that kills morale.
Did someone offer more? Maybe, but the Falcons are a plae he could step right in and get some playing time, maybe enough to carve out a role for himself.
So the priority was
1) Player happiness
2) Locker room morale.
While we get a little fleeced, it does make us a popular destination when it matters.
exactly....My guess is VJ asked for a trade and McVay said no problem....he was a back up WR who wanted a chance to start, he deserves that, he's been a good kid....
we move up about 30 spots and save a million in cap space.....win/win
